When we first started the pod, we imported our beans all the way from Berlin, Germany. We partnered with Coffee Circle, one of the best roasters in the city. But along the way, we ran into some challenges with logistics. Shipping through balikbayan boxes takes almost three months, and by the time the beans arrive at our HQ, they’ve already lost a good bit of their freshness.

We had to come up with a solution that wouldn’t compromise quality, and that’s how we discovered our green beans direct local farmer supplier from Benguet. The beans are 100% Arabica, single origin, and naturally processed. We usually order in small batches of around 40kg per month, just enough to keep things fresh and make sure the beans are consumed in a timely manner. They ship the beans via bus from Baguio, and we pick them up ourselves at the bus station in Cubao, fresh from the mountains straight to our hands.

Once we get the green beans, we carefully roast them with calibrated profiles to bring out the best possible espresso that fits our brand. Whether it’s for a hot or iced coffee, especially during the events we attend, quality is key. We've experimented with different roast levels, ranging from medium to dark, just to hit that sweet spot our customers love.

And to make sure we’re doing justice to the beans, we invested in a high-quality roaster that matches our scale and standards, the ROEST, all the way from Norway. It gives us full control and consistency in every roast, helping us serve the best coffee possible, every single time.
We guarantee that the beans we use are fresh, straight from the local farmer to your event.
