"Mobile Coffee Bar by: The Pod"

I guess it’s time I finally introduced myself and how "The Pod" was born!

Hey, I’m Rowie! I did my Bachelor’s in Business Management and Master’s in International Marketing in Berlin, Germany. Yup, studied in a place known for techno, kebabs, and weird art... and somehow came out with a degree!

Right after graduating, I landed a job as a marketer. One day, we were at this big HR expo, and I saw a booth with a crazy long line. Naturally, my nosy self got in line too had no idea what it was for. When I finally got to the front, the barista looks at me and goes, ‘What do you want?’ Obviously, I said cappuccino, because why not? But get this - the foam had the company’s logo printed on it! My brain did a little happy dance, and that’s when my playful imagination kicked in.

That’s the moment The Pod was born.

Like many OFWs, my goal was pretty simple: work hard, save money, and eventually head back home to the Philippines.

So in May 2024, I flew back to Manila half for vacation, half to chase this little idea called The Pod. And while most people were stuffing their suitcases with chocolates for pasalubong, I came home with an espresso machine and a coffee grinder. Priorities, right?

That’s how I started building something I never imagined would bring so much joy to couples, colleagues, debutantes, birthday celebrants basically anyone who trusted us to caffeinate their special day!
